Purpose of Position

• Function: Assist Head Coach to provide management of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball program.
• Scope: Responsible for recruiting prospective student-athletes, on-court coaching, serves as community relations liaison for the Women’s Basketball program to public, and monitor academic progress of student-athletes.

Essential Functions

• Assist Head Coach in developing a women’s basketball program that develops champions in the classroom, in competition and in life.
• Assist Head Coach in planning, organizing and conducting team and individual practices and training.
• Assist Head Coach in the recruitment of quality student-athletes.
• Support the academics, personal and physical welfare of student-athletes.
• Represent the University with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all University, Conference and NCAA rules.
• Actively promote compliance of all University, Conference and NCAA rules.
• Act with integrity at all times.
• Assist with the operation of Women’s Basketball camps
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
