The University of Pikeville (UPIKE), the Leading University in Central Appalachia is actively seeking candidates for its Assistant Coach of Women’s Basketball. UPIKE is an NAIA School that competes in the Mid-South Conference.

The central focus for the Assistant Coach is to provide assistance and support to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and women’s basketball team of the University of Pikeville by performing the following responsibilities:

• Assist with all practices and games for the women’s basketball team
• Manage strength and conditioning training
• Perform preparation duties prior to practices and games
• Assist in the recruitment process of student athletes
• Scout opposing teams/players in order to plan game plays
• Assist with fundraising for the team’s budget and facilities
• Manage budget, supplies, and equipment through performing office work
• Watch and analyze game film along with the Head Coach
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
2. Athletic background preferred, but not required.
3. At least 3-5 years of assistant coaching experience.
4. Must be familiar with conducting research online.
5. Must be familiar Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel ,PowerPoint, Outlook, Etc.)
6. Must have experience working with office equipment, e.g. computer, printer, fax machine.
7. Must be able to perform simple calculations.
