Provides assistance to the Head Coach of a women’s intercollegiate basketball team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience as a basketball player and one to three years of high school or college level  coaching experience; or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which  demonstrates the abilities to perform the duties. Effective organizational and verbal/written  communication skills. Must be or become familiar with NWAC (Northwest Athletic  Conference) code.

SPECIAL LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

 

Valid driver’s license and complete in-house passenger van certification for team travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist with team management, daily practices, game preparation and video  exchange.
  • Assist in coordinating the proper and timely issue and return of uniforms and other  equipment.
  • Assist in ensuring adequate physical conditioning and skill development of basketball athletes.
  • Assist in financial travel disbursements and remittances.
  • Assist with team fundraising events.
  • Assist in recruiting and scouting.
  • Assist in the supervision and conduct of players on and off the field during the  academic year.
  • Attend meetings relevant to the basketball program.

• Other duties as may be assigned by the Head Coach.
