As the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator, this position will:

• assist in organizing and developing the recruiting plan
• assist in all aspects of the program, including all game day and practice preparation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The lead assistant coach is charged with working with his/her respective head coach in many facets of the program, including the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, game-day coaching and practice preparation, the maintenance of the program’s budget and the development and implementation of a strategic plan for fund raising activities to supplement the operating budget of both the program and the Department of Athletics. The lead assistant coach will also work with the head coach to monitor all facets, both athletically and academically related, that any participating student-athletes are involved in while also developing a working relationship with all other facets of the Department of Athletics, including the training staff, compliance officer, media relations staff, home events coordinator and all other individuals responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department. The assistant coach must strictly adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the College, the NCAA and the Northeast Conference, an NCAA Division I conference. The assistant coach may also be charged with other duties as assigned by either their respective head coach or by the Director of Athletics.
