| Description: | Roane State Community College is seeking candidates for a part-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Roane State is a proud member of NJCAA DI and the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association. Under the direct supervision of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Coach has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach as they relate to the administration of the sport and to always work in the best interest of the program, the Athletic Department, and the College Knowledge and Skills: Experience- playing and coaching at least a HS level (Assistant experience accepted) Education- Bachelor’s preferred, Associate’s or valid certifications from an accredited institution accepted Interpersonal Skills- Good interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with students, family members, faculty, staff, administrators and high school and college athletic staff. Technical Skills- Working knowledge of current and emerging computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office products. Other Skills- Knowledge of rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport. |
