Description:

Assist in managing a competitive NCAA Division I intercollegiate women’s basketball program  within the context of the educational mission of the University. Share in the responsibility of  educating student-athletes to the value of sport as it becomes increasingly valuable in today’s  society. Take directives from the head coach for all aspects of the competitive NCAA Division I  program that relies on recruiting scholarship and non-scholarship student-athletes. Provide  potential leadership and positive expertise in the teaching and tactical aspects of their sport.  Demonstrate commitment to issues of social justice and diversity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution • 2-4 years of successful collegiate experience, preferably at the Division I level • Able to form and maintain relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds • Able to communicate effectively on different platforms (zoom, phone, public speaking) • A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, change direction quickly and prioritize  tasks based on the needs of the program
  • Be a self-starter and take initiative
  • A record of integrity and leadership
  • A demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice and diversity
  • A commitment to the academic success and graduation of student-athletes • Candidates must be able to travel extensively
  • Experience with or ability to learn MAC Interface, Synergy software, ARMS, JustPlay,  Microsoft Office Suites and digital design
