Description:
The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking a Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instructing and teaching athletes in fundamentals of basketball, coaching technique and strategy.  Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations.  Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans and equipment.  Monitors academic progress of student-athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of women’s basketball at the intercollegiate level is required.  Position requires extensive travel during recruiting process.  Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations is preferred; experience working with a diverse population desired.
