Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a part-time Assistant Coach for Women’s Basketball.  The Assistant Coach is responsible to assist in the coordination of all aspects of the women’s basketball program including coaching, training, recruitment and retention of student athletes.  This position assumes responsibility for student athletes, as assigned by the head coach, assists with team schedule and coordination thereof, and leads practices and training sessions.  Primary responsibility and time commitment occurs in season.  However, the Assistant Coach may assist with recruiting and other activities off season as available and at the discretion of the Head Coach.   Must at all times comply with NCAA Division III regulations and is subject to NCAA enforcement provisions for violations.  Also responsible to comply with the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation, health, or related field strongly preferred.  Minimum of one (1) year coaching experience as an assistant coach or high school head coach required or equivalent combination of coaching and playing experience.  Knowledge of NCAA Division III and AMCC rules and regulations strongly preferred.  Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills also required.
