The Women’s Basketball Department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The anticipated start date is 04/01/22.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The primary responsibility of the Assistant Basketball Coach is instructing student-athletes in the performance of the sport of basketball. To that end, under the supervision of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, they will perform coaching duties pertinent to the position. Assist with other duties including, but not limited to, recruiting student-athletes, academic progress of student-athletes, planning practices, necessary public relations work, and assist in fundraising.

REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree and coaching experience. Equivalent relative experience may substitute for coaching experience. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance issues concerning the administration of intercollegiate athletics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Master degree. Excellent communications and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes with potential of academic and athletic success.
