The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting with the overall organization, direction, and administration of all facets of an NCAA Division II Program.

Description of Duties:
Assist the Head Coach with all phases of an NCAA Division II Womens Basketball Program including
assisting with the overall organization, direction, supervision and administration of the Womens
Basketball program. Duties include: recruiting student athletes within the rules and philosophy of both
the NCAA and Mansfield University; evaluating personnel; emphasizing academic priorities to student
athletes; assisting with organizing/conducting practices and games; performing related administrative
tasks; fundraising; supervising work study students; coordinating team travel arrangements; and
maintaining appropriate communication with students, other coaches, university staff, parents, and
alumni.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Two years previous collegiate basketball playing experience or coaching experience at division 1,
2 or 3
Possession of a valid drivers license

Applicants will be rated on the following criteria:
1. Experience playing and or coaching at the collegiate level.
2. Demonstrated ability to recruit student athletes.
3. Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate quality student athletes.
4. Demonstrated understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
5. Demonstrated ability to conduct individual sessions and practices.
6. Demonstrated leadership abilities.
