Reports to: Head Coach and Athletic Director

Education: Associate degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years coaching and/or competing in the respective sport at the college level.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Exceptional knowledge of respective sport. Possess strong organizational and computer skills, ability to communicate effectively, appropriately exercise independent initiative and judgment, sensitivity to and awareness of confidential materials. Must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record to qualify to drive college vehicles.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with coordination of all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division II athletic program. This includes, but is not limited to, coaching, recruiting, budget management, travel management, rules and elgibility compliance, administrative duties, departmental fundraising, game management, academic advising, marketing, promotions and public relations.

Physical Demands: Ability to life, carry, reach, climb, walk, stand, bend, stoop and complete facility set-up by climbing stairs ladders, and moving moderately heavy equipment.

Working Conditions: Office environment, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, frequent contact with students and internal and external customers.
