| Description: | JOB DESCRIPTION: Wesleyan University has an opening for a coaching internship position in the sport of women’s basketball. RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include daily coaching, assisting in practice preparation, individualized instruction, recruiting, fundraising, scouting and all other aspects of a highly competitive Division III women’s basketball program. Duties also include a Teaching Fellow to assist PE faculty members with course instruction for one class per semester. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and playing experience in college basketball. Highly motivated candidates with previous coaching experience and/or seeking a career in coaching will be given greatest consideration. COMPENSATION: Cash stipend of $10,000, with health benefits. Also, there is an opportunity to receive a tuition waiver for two graduate courses per semester that may lead to a master’s degree in Graduate Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University. APPOINTMENT: This position begins for the 2019-20 academic year. |
