Graceland University is seeking a part-time assistant women’s basketball coach for the 2018-2019 academic year.  The assistant coach will possess the ability to:

*Communicate effectively as a recruiter for potential student-athletes for Graceland

*Assist and lead in skill development for each member of the basketball program

*Assist and attend each practice

*Assist and lead in intercollegiate competition both at the varsity and junior varsity levels

*Assist in film study and game preparation

*Assist in practice planning

*Manage athletic apparel and equipment

*Coordinate travel schedules for both varsity and junior varsity levels

*Assist with existing fundraising efforts and stimulate ideas for new fundraising opportunities

*Coordinate video editing efforts as well as submit game film to Synergy

*Assist and lead in efforts to raise the team’s grade point average

*Monitor study tables and check classroom attendance

*Assist with efforts of eligibility through the NAIA as well as within Graceland University

*Manage and monitor the overall operating expenses of the budget for women’s basketball

*Promote the mission and values of Graceland University

*Perform other duties as assigned
