The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking to hire a skilled and versatile Assistant Women’s Basketball coach who will be responsible for assisting the Women’s Basketball Head Coach in leading a successful women’s basketball program at Georgia State University. The scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following,

• Will provide support to the Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball Team in managing all aspects of coaching, eligibiltiy, recruitment, retention, budget, scheduling, and academic monitoring
• Will assist with strength and conditioning
• Assist the Head Coach in fundraising for the women’s basketball program.
• Recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, planning of team practice, organization of team meetings
• Responsible for film study, scheduling competition and travel coordination
• Assist with budget monitoring of team expenses
• Work with campus community and the Athletic Department staff in the successful recruiting and registration process of student athletes who are members of Women’s Basketball Team
• Perform other professional duties as assigned by the Head Coach
• Provide supervision to Graduate Assistants and team managers
