Friends University is seeking to fill a part-time Assistant Coach of Women’s Basketball position in Wichita Kansas. This position will assist the head basketball coach in all aspects of the basketball program with focus on the junior varsity program to support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA Champions of Character. This includes but is not limited to – practice and game day planning and coaching, development of practice and game coaching and strategies for assigned position group.  Other duties could include budget management, facility needs, collaboration with the athletic trainers and ensuring retention and graduation of student athletes. Work hours are varied depending on practice schedule, game schedule, and recruiting schedule but primarily afternoons, evenings, and some.

At least two years of coaching experience is preferred. Collegiate playing experience is also preferred. Experience with recruiting and eligibility processes preferred but not required.
