Ferrum College is seeking to fill its Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach position. Ferrum is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.  The position will provide assistance to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with the overall management, supervision and coordination of the women’s basketball program. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: identification and recruitment of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation; monitoring of current student-athlete’s academic performance, and overseeing the administrative process for team travel and public relations activities. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level required. Successful candidate must possess knowledge of conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills are required. A working knowledge of FrontRush recruiting software as well as social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube desired.
