This position is a member of the Athletic Department and reports to the Head Coach. This is a twelve-month position. The primary function of this job is to assist the head coach with all aspects of recruiting, coaching, and managing the women’s basketball program.

BRIEF JOB SUMMARY: Implement and manage all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA, Conference and Converse University regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Commitment to liberal arts education

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the Head Coach of the Developmental Team;
• Assist Head Coach with coaching the Varsity Team;
• Assist Head Coach with recruiting prospective student athletes;
• Assist Head Coach with planning and executing practices;
• Coordinate the operations of a collegiate women’s basketball program, including but not limited to travel arrangements, facility reservation, and equipment management;
• Meet with student-athletes on a regular basis to help maintain retention and academic eligibility;
• Assist with off-season/in-season training, as well as work with strength and conditioning staff to develop sport-specific workout program;
• Assist Head Coach with marketing and executing summer camps and clinics;
• Maintain compliance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas and University rules and regulations;

• Perform other duties not specifically stated herein but deemed essential to the operations of the program as assigned by the Head Coach.
