Columbia Basin College (“CBC” or the “College”) seeks an Assistant Women’s Basketball coach whose primary responsibility is to assist the Head Coach to develop and maintain a competitive program in basketball with an emphasis on recruiting local athletes.  The Assistant Coach will report directly to the Head Basketball Coach.

Primary Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all rules and regulations governing NWAC athletic programs in addition to the NWAC rules governing basketball, especially in matters pertaining to recruitment and eligibility of student athletes;
• Work collaboratively with the Head Coach to track and monitor the academic progress of basketball athletes;
• Work cooperatively with the Athletic Department staff, developing collaborative and collegial relationships with the other coaches in the department;
• Assist the Head Coach maintaining athletic equipment assigned to the basketball program;
• Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Athletic Department; and
• Assist in the creation of practice and game schedules and provide instruction in the fundamentals of competitive basketball that will help eah student athlete develop their maximum potential.
