This position is one of high engagement with Colorado College student-athletes, department and campus colleagues, and the Colorado Springs community. Reporting to head women’s basketball coach Katherine Auguste and working side-by-side long-time assistant coach Lisa Guhl, a high value will be placed on staff collaboration, fostering creativity and a “people first” environment within a highly competitive basketball program, and demonstrating both openness and inclusivity in all facets of this role. Our program prioritizes mental health, hard work and individual development of both staff and student-athletes. We intentionally prioritize the process as we look to take our Colorado College women’s basketball to the next level.

Pay Information

The salary for this position is $50,417/year.

The pay range reflects base pay for positions in a given pay band across the college. Individual rates are determined within the range by factors including one’s qualifications, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same band and department budget.   • Instruct students in sport-specific techniques, strategies, and conditioning; provide education through practice and individual/small group workouts. Promote leadership development and team building.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional and effective communication with student-athletes.
  • Utilize sport-specific software programs for coaching, instruction, contest preparation, completion of scouting reports, offering game plan thoughts, and post-contest film review for both student-athlete and staff development.
  • Recruit highly qualified student-athletes to a competitive academic and athletic environment through phone calls, electronic communication, video conferences, personal visits, and attendance at nation-wide recruiting events.
  • Assist in travel coordination for team trips and recruiting trips.
  • Assist in program fundraising, gear/supply design and ordering, alumni relations, marketing and execution of camps/clinics, and development of community service projects.
  • Promote the program through developing/maintaining a positive and consistent team social media presence.
