Description:

Beloit College is seeking an Assistant Coach for its Women’s Basketball program.  The Assistant Coach will report to the Director of Athletics and Recreation and the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.  This is a part-time hourly position (not benefits eligible) from Oct 1, 2016 to July 30, 2017.  Beloit College is a highly selective coeducational college of 1250 students, nationally recognized for its international and experiential education.  A member of the Midwest Conference and NCAA Division III, Beloit is also a member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM).

 

Beloit is seeking candidates with experience in coaching women’s basketball preferably at the collegiate level and exhibit knowledge of recruiting strategies for a liberal arts college.  It is essential that the successful candidate demonstrate a sincere commitment to the academic and athletic success of the students.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the overall management of the program. This will include recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes, assisting with athlete skill development, practice planning, game planning, scouting, organizing conditioning programs, academic advising, travel planning, and assisting with community service.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; demonstrated commitment to learning NCAA rules and a commitment to the academic development of student-athletes required.
