Bachelor’s degree: Collegiate coaching experience including demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes; thorough knowledge of NCAA regulations; knowledge of and prior experience with administration of collegiate team travel; strong organizational, communication, and public relations skills; and computer literate.

License/Certification Required

Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years coaching at the Division I level

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. Priority is given to high standards of both academic and athletic quality – the goal being the complete development of the student-athlete.

Duties include assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of daily operations of a Division I intercollegiate women’s basketball program, including, but not limited to, recruiting, on-court coaching, scouting, game and practice preparation and overseeing the academic progress of student-athletes.
