Purpose of Position: To serve as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Lindenwood University-Belleville as well as an Admissions Counselor.


 

Duties & Responsibilities: The individual will be responsible for recruiting and enrollment of general students. Counsel prospective students on the application process to the school, degree offerings, and financial aid process. Participate as an active member of the recruitment team: assist with recruitment events, schedule appointments, maintain files, and input/retrieve data in CAMS. The duties as an admissions counselor come first and foremost to your duties as an assistant basketball coach.


 

Basketball Duties:

Complete general office task
Help with all game strategy and practice planning
Assist with opponent scouting and creation of scouting reports
Prepare and plan all travel arrangements (including driving)
Assist in the recruitment of student athletes for the women’s basketball program
Monitor the conditioning and strength of athletes
Oversees game scheduling
Perform all other duties assigned by the head coach


Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university.


 

Experience Requirements:
Extensive Knowledge and ability to coach the skills of basketball
Ability to stick to deadlines and track your own progress
Some physical fitness requirements up to approximately 50lbs
Knowledge of basic computer functions and usage of Microsoft office
Outstanding communications skills
