Duties include, but are not limited to: execution of conditioning programs and skill drills program that advance individual and team performance skills, assist the head coach in recruiting activities to attract quality athletes capable of performing at desired sport levels, demonstrate a high level of personal and academic development of student athletes, engage in open communication with student-athletes in a training atmosphere of respect and enjoyment, demonstrate teaching competencies with regard to (a) sport skill instruction, (b) motivation, (c) coaching skills during practice. In addition, the assistant coach will be expected to understand and emphasize the mission of Yeshiva University and hold the program and student-athletes therein to the same standards set forth by the entirety of the institution. The assistant coach must contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all staff as well as confirm to the highest standards of professional conduct regarding compliance with the department’s code of ethics and institutional policies and procedures and adherence to the rules and regulation of the athletics governance organizations of which the institution is a member.
