The assistant coach is responsible for all aspects of practice and game preparation as directed by the head coach, including offensive and defensive drills, individual player improvement, game organization, and pre- and post-season improvement programs. Will assist with recruiting players by identifying and assessing talent, communicating by phone, mail, or in person with prospective recruits, and assisting with the production of various recruiting materials; enhance student academics through arranging study halls and tutoring sessions; monitor student housing at home and on the road; serve as a liaison between players and the head coach; and monitor possible disciplinary actions or disputes. Additional duties may include assisting with Athletic Department fund raising; providing staff support to other sports programs within the department during their respective seasons; and perform other duties as assigned. Attendance at all home and away matches is required, and additional travel may be required for recruiting purposes.
