The Department of Sport and Wellness at the State University of New York, College at Plattsburgh seeks a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, professional appointment as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This ten-month position is expected to begin August 15, 2013, and will assist with coaching and recruiting within a high quality intercollegiate athletic program that is consistent with NCAA Division III philosophy.
Responsibilities include: Assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program including: recruiting, practice preparation, supervision and execution, game preparation, scouting opponents, oversight of the strength and conditioning program, monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes, alumni and public relations coordinating team community service activities. The Assistant Coach will also carry out the responsibilities of the Head Coach in his/her absence. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics.
