Description: | Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA has an opening for Associate Head Coach/Instructor The Associate Head Coach/Instructor will be responsible for designing skill development programs for student-athletes, assisting the head coach in overseeing the university’s NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Program, and for teaching undergraduate courses on sports marketing and the administration of collegiate athletics. He or she will plan, develop and teach classes and related learning opportunities in accordance with departmental goals and objectives. Provide instruction in physical health, nutrition, safety, and sports etiquette; teach fundamental position skills, and instruct and mentor student-athletes on team and individual basketball development; prepare curriculum materials and contribute to program improvement; liaise with athletic directors and university administrators on compliance with NCAA regulations, budgetary matters and revenue-generating initiatives, and the development of recruitment and marketing strategies, and rely on this knowledge to develop and teach undergraduate courses; and keep abreast of developments in field of expertise through current literature and participation in professional organizations and conferences. In performing duties, up to 25% travel domestically and internationally; and evening and weekend work hours, as required.
