Description:	Missouri Southern State University, a NCAA Division II member institution and a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The responsibilities of the assistant coach is to support the head coach in all phases of a highly competitive Division II women’s basketball program including but not limited to: practice, game preparation, conducting and planning training and conditioning schedules, team travel, teaching basketball fundamentals and strategies to student-athletes, and academic monitoring and mentoring. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required, excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail and experience in working with a diverse population. Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use is preferred at the time of hire, and will be required prior to participation in any countable athletically related activities as defined by the NCAA. Competitive background in collegiate basketball preferred as well as one to two years of coaching experience at the club level or above. Candidate must have valid driver’s license and the ability to meet insurance requirements for driving university vehicles.
