Responsible to assist the head coach in implementing the head coach’s plans for the direction and development of a nationally competitive Division I women’s basketball program at Kennesaw State University.
Perform a variety of functions including, but not limited to, the following as assigned by the head coach: recruitment, coaching, budget management, purchasing equipment and uniforms, scheduling of games and practices, public relations and fundraising.
Responsible for supporting the implementation of plans and programs which will achieve academic achievement, retention and graduation of each student-athlete on the roster.
Assume, as directed by the head coach, a leadership or support role in department-wide priorities and initiatives.
Will be asked by the head coach to organize, supervise, coordinate, and employ sound coaching techniques and practices.
Participate in university and Department of Athletics events as required.
Must have a thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, State of Georgia and university policies, rules and regulations.
Under the direction of the head coach, prepare student-athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally to compete for conference championships and post-season competition. Support the program’s plan to create an atmosphere favorable to the ethical, academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
Other duties as assigned by the head coach or Director of Athletics.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have strong organizational skills.
Ability to serve as a spokesperson for the intercollegiate women’s basketball program and the ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and the general public.
Provide support to the women’s basketball program to include, but not limited to academic support, skill development, recruiting and game film review. Will assist in supervising student volunteers and student workers.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
