The role of the Resident Director (RD) is one of initiating, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating programs and operations in the residence halls that will result in the greatest growth for individual students and living groups as a whole. The RD position requires the ability to provide consistent stewardship in a residence hall setting and ensure the safety and welfare of the residents. The RD position takes precedence over the ancillary position. Scheduling of activities in the ancillary position will be done in consultation with the Director of Residential Life. The RD is responsible for managing one or more residential areas, each housing approximately 100-250 students. This is a live-in position with evening and weekend hours mandatory.
The Residential Director position is combined with the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The Women’s Basketball Assistant will be involved in all aspects of coaching as assigned by the head coach. Duties include, but not limited to; recruiting, individual player development, strength and conditioning, game and practice on-court coaching, film exchange, scouting/film breakdown, and any other duties assigned by the head coach.
