Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball. Indiana University Kokomo athletics is an intercollegiate athletic program and a Division II member of the NAIA. IU Kokomo offers men’s and women’s cross country, basketball, golf, and women’s volleyball. This position is part time.

Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will provide support in the management and administration of all aspects of the program, including but not limited to: assisting with all aspects of the recruitment process, including development of recruitment plans and targeting potential student-athletes; developing and leading strength training and conditioning programs; attending and leading practice as well as game planning efforts; providing and supervising academic support opportunities; breaking down film and performing analysis; supporting in game management functions; developing and implementing strategies for motivating and retaining student-athletes; coordinating fundraising events and participating in fundraising and community service projects; assisting with the coordination of travel arrangements; enforcing policies and procedures as outlined in the student-athlete handbook, team rules, and university student handbook; as well as other duties as assigned by Head Coach.

Must have two years high school or collegiate (preferred) coaching experience; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred); and experience coordinating academics/mentoring students. Collegiate playing experience preferred. Computer experience and working knowledge of game film editing software (i.e., HUDL, Synergy, Krossover), Photoshop, MS office, and FastDraw preferred. Must be able to work/travel with team early mornings and afternoons, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
