Founded in 1919 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur as the first Catholic college for women in New England, Emmanuel today is a coeducational, residential college with a 17-acre campus in the heart of Boston’s educational, scientific, cultural and medical communities. This 9-month, part-time position will assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with all aspects of a comprehensive NCAA Division III program including working with student-athletes in an attempt to fully maximize their potential, while supporting the mission of the college. Responsibilities include conditioning, on court instruction, coaching, recruiting, and scouting as assigned. Other responsibilities include promoting Emmanuel programs, and active participation in community relations activities. Ability to relate and effectively motivate student-athletes is essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles for student-athletes, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to manage team dynamics.

Baccalaureate degree required. Successful background in coaching women’s basketball and collegiate playing experience preferred. The successful candidate should provide evidence of the ability to build a winning program consistent with the values of NCAA Division III and the mission of Emmanuel College.
