Shall understand and abide by the philosophy and procedures of East Texas Baptist University. Shall also assist the Head Coach with coaching duties, recruiting responsibilities and in any other capacity deemed appropriate.
Will know and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the American Southwest Conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and East Texas Baptist University. Shall also be actively involved in the academic and spiritual development of student athletes and shall set a positive example as a role model for all students and shall aid the Head Coach in the recruitment of quality student athletes.
Shall support the efforts of the Head Coach to maximize the effectiveness of practice sessions and aid the Head Coach in accurate record-keeping and assist with publicity for women’s basketball. Shall also help maintain all equipment used by the team and assist in making certain all facilities are maintained properly.
Shall also serve as a tutor for student athletes on an as-needed basis in order to maintain academic excellence in the classroom. Shall also assist in the organization of and participate in all fund-raising activities for women?s basketball. This is a full time position.
Requirements:
NCAA Division III coaching experience is desired, evidence of Christian faith incorporated into successful coaching is required.
Must have prior experience with the game, the rules and regulations. Prior coaching experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of the equipment used in women’s basketball.
