Assist Head Women’s Basketball Coach in all of the following areas:
Providing leadership in the academic, personal, and athletic development of student-athletes at Dixie State University.
Planning, organizing, and coaching of the Dixie State University Women’s Basketball team; ensure compliance by all coaches and student-athletes, with University, Conference, and NCAA procedures and regulations.
Create an atmosphere and recruit student-athletes for the program that fit Dixie State University and NCAA Division II philosophies for athletics.
Compose game schedules.
Initiate Women’s Basketball team-specific fund raising programs.
Direct Dixie State Women’s Basketball Camps.
Determine fiscal requirements and recommend budget to athletic administration. Monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.
Organize team travel arrangements.
Purchase and maintain basketball equipment.
Inspect practice facilities and equipment regularly.
Support fund raising responsibilities within the athletic department and be an active member of the Southern Utah community.
Monitor academic progress of student-athletes.
Guide and supervise student-athletes related to dormitory living and campus regulations.
Provide reports and information concerning the Women’s Basketball program as required.
Aid and assist the members of the institution in any aspect of NCAA compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
