Defiance College, an NCAA D-III institution and member of the HCAC, seeks applications for an individual to serve as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for an anticipated opening in September 2017. Under the direction of the Head Coach, responsibilities will include coaching, recruiting, fund raising, strength & conditioning, developing annual service/engagement projects for student-athletes, practice planning and preparation, scheduling, assisting head coach in all phases of student-athlete mentoring and evaluation, academic monitoring, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the mission of Defiance College, as well as adherence to institutional, Heartland Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures. A bachelor’s degree, previous collegiate coaching and recruiting experience, and a valid driver’s license are required; master’s degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills and successful Division III recruiting experience.
