The Athletic Department at Dean College is currently looking for an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This individual will assist the Head Coach with the organization and supervision of all aspects of the women’s basketball program including but not limited to: recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success, ability to relate to student-athletes, compliance with NCAA policies and regulations, daily coaching, assisting in practice preparation, individualized instruction, game planning, strength and conditioning, fundraising, scouting, film exchange community engagement, camps and clinics, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director. The athletic department is transitioning from its current status in the NJCAA to a NCAA Division III program. Other responsibilities will be assigned depending on the qualifications of the selected individual. The position is a part-time position, to begin immediately. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Competitive collegiate playing experience, or similar preferred • Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community • Self-starter and ability to multi-task with attention to detail • Excellent computer skills • Ability to provide skill instruction and leadership Applications for this position will be accepted until the position is filled.
