Position is responsible to assisting the head coach with day-to-day coaching tasks required of the DCC basketball program, such as practice and competition procedures. The position requires an ability to recruit and motivate college students to maximum performance on the athletic court and real life.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as an assistant coach to the Dawson Community College basketball team.
• Assist in the teaching and instructing individual skills necessary for collegiate basketball competition.
• Assist with the planning and production of DCC’s games and tournaments.
• Assist in adhering the DCC and NJCAA policies, including student and coaching code of conduct.
• Serve the students-athletes as a positive role model and mentor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
