Belmont University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will assist the head coach with multiple aspects of the program, including but not limited to: organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition; identifying and evaluating potential recruits through scouting, attending tournament, and home visits; representing the department to various entities, including the media, community groups, students, parents, and the general public; and performing various administrative duties, as assigned by the head coach..

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of coaching experience, preferably at the Division 1 level. The candidate will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse environment; knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules and student-athlete eligibility requirements.
