Indiana head women’s basketball coach Curt Miller has added Patrick Henry to his staff as video coordinator. Henry began his tenure with the Hoosiers on Monday.

Henry most recently served as associate head coach for the women’s basketball program at Texas State University. He was a part of that staff for six seasons, starting as an assistant coach before being elevated to associate head coach in 2008. During his six years, the Bobcats won 17 or more games on three occasions, including a 21-11 record in 2007-08 in which TSU won the Southland Conference regular season championship, earning a postseason bid in the process while ending the season ranked ninth in all of Division I women’s basketball in scoring.

Prior to his stop at Texas State, Henry spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Mercer University men’s basketball program. In 2002-03, Henry helped guide the Bears to a 23-6 record and an Atlantic Sun Conference regular season title. The 23 wins are the second highest single season victory total in Mercer men’s basketball history.

Henry, a native of Warner Robins, Ga., also had stops as an administrative assistant at Georgia Southern University (men’s basketball) and as an assistant coach at East Texas Baptist University (women’s basketball), Frank Phillips College (men’s and women’s basketball) and Florida Southern University (men’s basketball).

During his stint at Florida Southern in 1999-00, Henry helped lead the Mocs to a 32-2 mark, a school record for wins in a season. That team finished the season with a fifth place finish in the NCAA Division II Tournament. He also helped develop two Division II All-Americans and Conference Player of the Year honorees in Innocent Kere and Christophe Humbert during his time there. Kere also earned a NCAA Division II National Player of the Year honor.
