A “hot” name right now in the search to replace Matt Bollant at Illinois is Washington University (St. Louis) head coach Nancy Fahey. The veteran coach has won 737 games during her tenure at WashU, and has captured five National Championships. Fahey, who also serves as an assistant athletic director at the school, worked for current Illinois AD Josh Whitman when he served as WashU’s AD. Fahey, who was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012, has also been to ten Final Four’s and ranks sixth among all active NCAA coaches with an .847 career winning percentage.
