Ninth-year head coach Dr. Joaquin Wallace has stepped down as the head women’s basketball coach at SF State. Wallace ends his coaching career at SF State as the Gators’ second all-time winningest women’s basketball coach.

"We thank Coach Wallace for his time here and the work he did with his student-athletes," said SF State Interim Director of Athletics Bill Nepfel. "We wish nothing but the best for Coach Wallace and his family in all of his future endeavors."

Coach Wallace guided the Gators to four appearances in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Basketball Championships. He also coached 10 All-CCAA selections including three First Team selections. During his tenure as the Gators women’s basketball coach, 11 student-athletes were received Academic All-CCAA honors.
