Dominic Tharpe has submitted his resignation as head coach of the Motlow State Community College Lady Bucks’ basketball program, effectively immediately, according to Motlow Athletic Director Laura Monks.

Motlow men’s assistant coach Arthur Latham has been named interim head coach of the Lady Bucks. Tharpe will continue in his position as Retention Transfer Specialist at the College.

“Coach Tharpe has lead the team to a winning season. His heart and dedication to the team will be greatly missed. We are excited for the opportunity for Coach Latham to take this team to the next level.”

The Lady Bucks’ scheduled contest tonight against Martin Methodist College JV team has been cancelled. The Bucks will play Martin Methodist as scheduled tonight at Copperweld Arena, with tipoff at 4:30 p.m. The Lady Bucks will join the Bucks in hosting Southwest Tennessee Friday night, with the men scheduled to tip at 5:30 p.m.
