Director of Athletics Kim Pate has announced that the contract of University of Illinois Springfield head women’s basketball coach Chad Oletzke will not be renewed.

The position had been held by Oletzke for the previous three seasons. Oletzke finishes his career as Prairie Star head coach with an overall record of 19-59 with an 8-46 record in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. This past season, the women’s basketball program posted a record of 6-20 overall and 2-16 in conference and will return eight players.

"I want to thank Coach Oletzke for his contributions to UIS and for his hard work and dedication in the last three seasons," Pate said. "I wish him and his family nothing but the best in their future endeavors."
