Hill resigns as Women’s Basketball Coach at Ouachita Baptist

Ouachita Baptist University Women’s Basketball Head Coach Kiley Hill has announced his resignation to pursue a career opportunity outside of collegiate athletics.

Hill recently completed his first year as the head coach of the Tigers, which was his 31st season coaching women’s basketball at the collegiate level. He was a head coach for 23 of those 31 seasons, including stints at West Alabama, Valdosta State, Western Carolina, and Ouachita.

“Molly and I are so grateful to the Ouachita family,” said Hill. “We are thankful to Dr. Ben Sells and David Sharp for allowing us the opportunity to be part of such a great community. We had every intention of digging roots deep but sometimes God has different plans. This was a gut-wrenching decision because of the relationships we have developed will last a lifetime. Few can say in their life; they have been able to go home twice – I can now say that I’m in that small percentage. Ouachita will always be home. Its mission is forever true, and we are better because we were part of it.”

“Ouachita is certainly going to miss Coach Hill,” said Director of Athletics David Sharp. “Although he was only with us for a little less than a year, the impact he has made on our women’s basketball program is remarkable. He has left this program in great shape for whomever is our next head coach. We wish Kiley and Molly all the best.”
