Fresno State head women’s basketball coach Jaime White announced the hiring of Kelsee Grovey as the program’s Director of Basketball Operations. She joins the Bulldogs after eight years in the Tulsa program as both a player and a member of the staff.
“We are so excited to add Kelsee to our coaching staff,” White said. “We loved her energy and commitment to student-athlete success. She is a winner and exudes that in everything she did during the interview process. Kelsee is a great fit for our Bulldog family.”
Following her four-year playing career at Tulsa (2013-16), Grovey joined the Hurricane’s staff as a graduate assistant for two seasons. She was then promoted to Director of Player Development/Team Manager and spent two more years on the Tulsa staff.
During her playing career, Grovey started in 115 of 123 games, tallied 73 double-figure scoring games, and had career averages of 11.0 points (1,344) and 2.6 rebounds (324). A prolific 3-point shooter, Grovey concluded her career ranked first in Tulsa’s history in 3-point field goals made (233). She also finished her career second in games played, fifth in points (1,344), field goals made (462) and steals (170), sixth in assists (284) and 3-point field goal percentage (.367 – 233 of 635), and 10th in free throw percentage (.799 – 187 of 234).
Grovey earned her bachelor’s degree in communication in 2016 and her master’s degree in educational studies in 2018, both from Tulsa.
