GCU’s Curtis resigns

The Georgian Court University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the resignation of Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Valerie Curtis, effective immediately.

Coach Curtis joined the Lions prior to the 2007-08 campaign, completing seven seasons in all.

"I, along with the entire Georgian Court community, would like to personally thank Valerie for her seven years of service," stated Director of Athetics and Recreation, Laura Liesman. "She was a committed and dedicated member of the GCU family and lived Georgian Court’s mercy core values to the fullest … I wish her nothing but the absolute best."

A national search is underway with the goal of having a new coach in place by early April.
