UNC Asheville Head Women’s Basketball Coach Honey Brown announced the addition of Brandon Fisher to her coaching staff as the Director of Basketball Operations.
“I want to thank Coach Brown for this incredible opportunity to join the Bulldog Family,” Fisher said. “I could not be more excited or grateful to be joining an amazing University, coaching staff, team, and city. My goal is to impact every single student-athlete by helping them excel inside and outside of the classroom with the game of basketball being one of those vehicles. UNC Asheville is such a unique place, and I’m honored to be a part of this fantastic program.”
Fisher comes to Asheville after most recently working as a Senior Scout for Prep Girls Hoops in Florida for the last three years. In this position he updated player rankings for all four classes of girls’ basketball in Florida and helped operate the organization’s social media accounts. He also scouted on the PGH Circuit in the Southeast and Midwest. Fisher also has some coaching experience in his family as his mother and father have coached middle school basketball for over 20 years.
“So happy to have Brandon join our staff,” said Brown. “His creative ideas and knowledge of girls basketball will definitely help us in recruiting. Coaching is in his family’s DNA and I am excited to help him get started with his passion.”
A 2013 graduate from Illinois College with a degree in management and organizational leadership, Fisher also worked in finance and accounting fields in previous stops in his career.
