ESU Announces Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff Update

East Stroudsburg University women’s basketball head coach Diane Decker will not return in 2019-20, the University announced Wednesday afternoon.

Decker has led the program for the last four seasons, guiding the Warriors to a 19-9 record and a spot in the PSAC Final Four back in 2016-17.

ESU finished this past season with a 12-16 record (9-11 PSAC) and a fifth place finish out of eight schools in the PSAC East standings.

“We’ve made a decision to take the women’s basketball program in a different direction,” said Dr. Gary Gray, ESU Director of Athletics. “Coach Decker was informed this morning that her contract will not be renewed. We thank her for her years of service to ESU, and wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

A national search for ESU’s next women’s basketball head coach will begin immediately.
