Emily Dobson Named Bowdoin Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Emily Dobson as assistant coach for the women’s basketball team.
 
Dobson joins new head coach Sacha Santimano following two years as an assistant coach at Castleton (Vt.) University, helping lead the Spartans to 16 wins in the 2019-20 campaign. Dobson spent the 2018-19 season at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass., where she was an assistant coach for the Bison. At Nichols, she was responsible for aiding in the development of practice plans, scouting players and opponents and recruiting.
 
A native of Westerly, Rhode Island, Dobson is a 2017 graduate of Western Connecticut State University. She was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team for the Colonials and was a two-time All-Little East Conference standout and earned a spot on the LEC All-Academic Team three times. A Dean’s List student, Dobson received her degree in Health Promotion Studies. While at Castleton, Dobson earned her Master’s Degree in Athletic Leadership.
