Elizabethtown College announced Tuesday afternoon that it has appointed Veronica Nolt interim head coach of the women’s basketball program for the 2015-16 season.

Nolt has been with the program since 2012, serving as an assistant coach for two seasons and co-head coach this past season. The Blue Jays went 18-7 in 2014-15 and reached the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Championships in their first season as a league member. Elizabethtown has qualified for the postseason all three seasons with Nolt on the coaching staff.

Nolt moves into the interim position following the departure of Sherri Gorman, who compiled a 53-23 record in three seasons. Nolt and Gorman handled co-head coaching duties this past winter.

With Director of Athletics Nancy Latimore retiring in June and a national search underway for her replacement, Elizabethtown will commence its search for a permanent head women’s basketball coach in the spring of 2016.
