Diaz added to Air Force WBB coaching staff

Head women’s basketball coach Chris Gobrecht has announced the addition of Kamille Diaz to the Air Force coaching staff. Diaz joins the Academy by way of California Baptist where she served as an assistant coach and video coordinator. 
 
“Kamille will be a wonderful addition to our staff,” Gobrecht said. “I’m excited for the expertise she brings to the point guard position from both her success as a player and her association with outstanding coaches over her career.” 
 
“I am excited and blessed to join the Air Force women’s basketball program,” Diaz exclaimed. “It is a privilege to join Coach G and the women’s hoops staff and continue building a winning culture at the Air Force Academy. I’m looking forward to gaining insight from a seasoned coaching veteran and delivering a skillset that will help propel Air Force and our cadet athletes to higher levels of success.” 
 
Prior to her coaching stint at California Baptist, Diaz was the graduate assistant coach and camp clinic director for the women’s basketball program at Central Washington University where she also earned her Master of Science.  
 
Before her time at CWU, Diaz played professional ball for CB Igualada in Spain where she helped her team to top-three finish in the Copa Catalunya League. 
 
Diaz completed her undergraduate studies at California Baptist where she holds the program career assists record (688), earning all-conference status on four occasions and helping her team to two NCAA Division II Final Four appearances and one NCAA Division II Championship runner-up finish. 
 
A native of, Indio, California, Diaz currently resides in Colorado Springs.
